 ಯಾವ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಲು ಸರಿಯಾದ ಮಾರ್ಗ ಸಿಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ, ಆದರೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ಮಾರ್ಗವೊಂದೇ ದೊರೆಯುವುದೋ, ಅಂತಹವರೇ ಇತಿಹಾಸವನ್ನು ಬರೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ...

೨೦೦೬ರಿಂದ ನಾನು ವಿಕಿಪೀಡಿಯದ ಸಂಪಾದಕಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಆದರೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೂ ಮುನ್ನ ನಾನು ಆಡಳಿತ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದು - ಸರಕಾರಿ(ಅಮೇರಿಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಇಂಡೋನೇಶಿಯ) ಹಾಗು ಸರಕಾರೇತರ (ಲಾಭ ಇರುವ ಹಾಗೂ ಇಲ್ಲದಿರುವ) ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆ. ನನ್ನ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ ಸಂವಹನ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮವಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ, ೨೦೦೮ರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಮುನ್ನಡೆದು ಪ್ರಬಂಧಕ ರೀತಿಯ ಕೆಲಸಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿ ಕೊನೆಗೆ ನಾಯಕತ್ವದ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊನೆಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

ನನ್ನ ವೃತ್ತಿ ಜೀವನ ಬಹಳ ಸ್ವಾರಸ್ಯಕರವಾಗಿದೆ, ನಾನು ಮಾರಟಗಾರ್ತಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದೆ, ರಾಯಭಾರಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದೆ, ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಕಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದೆ, ಪ್ರಬಂಧಕಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದೆ, ಸಂವಹನ ತಜ್ಞೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದೆ. ಇತರರ ಪರಿಚಯ ಪತ್ರ ಬರೆಯುವ, ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರ ಅನುವಾದನೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೂ ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಯೋಜನಾ ವರದಿಗಳ ಬರವಣಿಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಇತರೆ ಕೆಲಸಗಳಾಗಿವೆ.

ನಾನು ಇಂಡೋನೇಶಿಯಾದ ಬಾಲಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯ ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಕಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಘಟನೆ ಚಿರಸ್ಮರಣೀಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ೨೦೦೨ರಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದಂತಹ ಬಾಲಿ ಬಾಂಬ್ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ನಡೆದ ಸ್ಥಳ ನನ್ನ ಕಛೇರಿಯಿಂದ ನೂರಾರು ಮೀಟರ್ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿತ್ತು. ಅಂತಹ ಆಪತ್ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ರೋಗಿಗಳ, ಪರಿವಾರಗಳ ಹಾಗೂ ಕುತೂಹಲಕಾರಿ ಗುಂಪುಗಳ ಜೊತೆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಅಚ್ಚುಕಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ವ್ಯವಹರಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆಂದು ನನಗೆ ಅರಿವಾಯಿತು. ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ವಿಚಾರವೇನೆಂದರೆ, ನಮ್ಮಿಂದ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರುಗಳು ಮುದ್ರಣವಾಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಮೋಸ ಮಾಡಿ ನಮ್ಮಿಂದ ಏನು ಬೇಕಾದರೂ ಹೇಳಿಸುವಷ್ಟು ಚಾಣಾಕ್ಷರಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ಆಂತರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ, ವಿಕಿಮೀಡಿಯ ಇಂಡೋನೇಶಿಯಾ ಅಧ್ಯಾಯದ ಪರವಾಗಿ : ನಾನು ೨೦೧೦ರಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಕಿಮೀಡೀಯ ಇಂಡೋನೇಶಿಯಾದ ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದೆ. ಈ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು $೮೦೦ರಿಂದ $೮೦೦ ಸಾವಿರ ಡಾಲರ್ ತನಕ ಅನುದಾನ ಪಡೆಯುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ವಿಕಿಮೀಡಿಯ ಇಂಡೋನೇಶಿಯಾ ಈ ಅನುದಾನ ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಮೌಲ್ಯಮಾಪನ ಮಾಡುವಾಗ ಅನುದಾನ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವ ೨೦ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ೧೦೦ ಪ್ರತಿಶತ ಸಮ್ಮತಿ ಸೂಚಿಸಿವೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಮೌಲ್ಯಮಾಪಕರೇ ಪಾರದರ್ಶಕ ವರದಿಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ವಿಸ್ಮಿತಗೊಂಡರು. ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನಾನು ಪಾರದರ್ಶಕತೆಯನ್ನೇ ಉಸಿರಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಅದರಲ್ಲೇ ಜೀವಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಪಾರದರ್ಶಕವಾಗಿರುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಪಾರದರ್ಶಕತೆಗೇ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಮಹತ್ವವಿದೆ. ನ್ಯಾಯಯುತ, ಕ್ರಮಬದ್ಧ ಹಾಗೂ ಸರಿಯಾದ ಸಂವಹನದಿಂದ ಯಾವುದೇ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಎದುರಾಗುವ ಮುನ್ನವೇ ಅದನ್ನು ತಡೆಯಬಹುದು.

ಹೊರಗಡೆ ಇತರೆ ಅಧ್ಯಾಯಗಳ ಜೊತೆ : ೨೦೧೨ರಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಸ್ವಇಚ್ಛೆಯಿಂದ ಅರ್ಜೆನ್ಟಿನಾದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದಂತಹ ವಿಕಿಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ಪಾಳಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವಾಸ ಅನುದಾನ ಪಡೆಯುವವರನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸುವ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದೆ. ಅಧಿವೇಶನಕ್ಕೆ ನನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಪ್ರವಾಸದ ಖರ್ಚನ್ನು ಫೋರ್ಡ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಭರಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಇದರ ಶ್ರಮವನ್ನು ವಿಕಿಮೀಡೀಯ ಜರ್ಮನಿ, ವಿಕಿಮೀಡಿಯ ಅರ್ಜೆನ್ಟಿನ, ವಿಕಿಮೀಡಿಯ ಆಸ್ಟ್ರಿಯ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿಕಿಮೀಡಿಯ ಆಸ್ಟ್ರೇಲಿಯ ಬೆಂಬಲಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಅನುದಾನ ಪಡೆದ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬರು ಭಾರತದ ನೇತಾ ಹುಸೇನ್. ಅದೊಂದು ಅವಿಸ್ಮರಣೀಯ ಘಟನೆ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರು ಹೊರ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಮೊದಲ ಬಾರಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು ಹಾಗು ಅದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೊರ ಜಗತ್ತಿಗೆ ಕಣ್ಣು ತೆರೆಸುವಂತಹ ಪ್ರವಾಸದ ಅನುಭವವಾಗಿದ್ದಿತು. ವಿಕಿಮೀಡಿಯ ಫ಼್ರಾನ್ಸ್ ಹಾಗು ವಿಕಿಮೀಡಿಯ ಸ್ವಿಸ್ಸ್ ಜೊತೆ ವಿಕಿಮೀಡಿಯ ಇಂಡೋನೇಶಿಯಾ ಕೈಜೋಡಿಸಿ [Javanese_Language_Wikipedia_Revitalization_Project_2012-2013 ಜಾವಾ ಭಾಷೆಯ ವಿಕಿಪೀಡಿಯ ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ಪುನರುಜ್ಜೀವಿಸಲು] ೨೦೧೨-೧೩ರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿತು. ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಆಕಸ್ಮಿಕವಾಗಿ, ೨೦೧೧ರ ಟೆಕ್ ಕ್ಯಾಂಪ್ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಕಿಮೀಡಿಯ ನ್ಯೂ ಯಾರ್ಕ್, ವಿಕಿಮೀಡಿಯ ಇಂಡೋನೇಶಿಯವನ್ನು HOTOSM ಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಜೊತೆ ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿತು. ಮಾರ್ಚ್ ೧೫, ೨೦೧೬ರಂದು ಐದು ವರ್ಷದ ಬಳಿಕ ನಾನು ವಿಕಿಮೀಡಿಯ ಇಂಡೋನೇಶಿಯ ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಪದವಿಯಿಂದ ಕೆಳಗಿಳಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಈ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಇದೀಗ ಹೊಸ ನಾಯಕನನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಲು ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆಯೆಂದು ನನ್ನ ಭಾವನೆ. ಈ ಸಂಚಲನಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ಬೇರೆ ಬೇರೆ ರೀತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯೋಗದಾನ ನೀಡಲು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

ನನ್ನ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ, ನನಗೆ ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿದೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷದ ಮಗ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ.
