In your ideal world, what does the affiliate model and ecosystem look like? | Ideal affiliate model should be flexible and support different types of groups. Big chapters and small user groups both important. Affiliates should work together more, share knowledge and resources. Less bureaucracy, more focus on local needs and impact. Clear rules but also freedom for innovation. Strong communication between affiliates and WMF needed.
In your ideal world, what are AffCom’s roles and responsibilities in relation to the movement and affiliates? | In an ideal world AffCom should be bridge between affiliates and WMF. Help new groups form, support existing ones, ensure rules followed. But also listen to affiliate needs, advocate for them to WMF. AffCom should simplify processes, give useful advice. Should encourage collaboration between affiliates and help solve problems.
What role within AffCom are you most interested in: advisory or voting member? | I am interested in voting member role. As steward and active affiliate member, I have good experience to make decisions. But I also value giving advice. |
