Affiliations Committee/Resolutions/Renewal Wikimedia Community User Group Greece 2016

Whereas:

1. Recognizing Wikimedia User Groups is the responsibility of the Affiliations Committee;
2. On February 13, 2016, Wikimedia Community User Group Greece was recognized as Wikimedia User Group by the Affiliations Committee the last renewal for a term of 1 year that finished on July 31, 2015;
3. The affiliation requirements for Wikimedia User Groups include annual renewal based on the annual activities reporting submitted by the group.
4. The current status and work performed by Wikimedia Community User Group Greece have been reviewed by the Affiliations Committee;
5. They have fulfilled the minimum requirements to retain their status as a Wikimedia User Group until their next review July 2016;

Wikimedia Community User Group Greece continues to maintain regular activities and reporting of their efforts. The group's reporting demonstrates clear growth in their education program activities in which they have engaged participants in STEM fields of medicine and mathematics as well as delved in a bit with some students from Language and Literature. The group also gave three lectures/presentations on Wikipedia and Wikidata including one to the emerging Open Thessaloniki group now applying for their own User Group status.

1. The Affiliations Committee has determined that the Wikimedia User Group satisfies the requirements for renewal of its status as an affiliate.

Therefore be it resolved that the Wikimedia User Group status of Wikimedia Community User Group Greece is hereby renewed.
