Basic usage

• There are FAQs about the service embedded directly on Ask a question.

Technical

Templates

• {{Ask a question navbox}} – the navbox, which in turn uses {{portal navigation}}.
• {{Ask button}} – for Ask a question (enhanced by the wrcEditor gadget described below);
  • {{Ask button/preload}} – sophisticated preload used to emulate the functionality of the gadget.
• {{AAQ view discussion}} – used for "view discussion" links so that they don't need to be repeatedly translated.

Gadgets

• MediaWiki:Gadget-wrcEditor.js provides interface for posting questions and responses for Ask a question.
  • Interface messages: Template:i18n/Ask a question (these are translatable!).

Other

• The ask a question system makes significant use of labeled section transclusion, which is somewhat obscure.

Translation

Interface messages are stored on Template:i18n/Ask a question and can be translated through the Translate interface.
