- Hosting one of the plenary sessions
- Co-presenting Utilization of Wikimedia in Lessons together with Maffeth.opiana and Daragang Nagueña
- Participation in the Commons Photographers User Group meet up and photowalk
- Facilitation in one of the session on ESEAP Hub as an member of the ESEAP Preparatory Council
- Participation at the karaoke challenge (after my performance at Wikimania Singapore's karaoke challenge was suddenly interrupted due to time constraint)
Learnings
edit- ESEAP Hub needs to be discussed more among Wikimedians in the region. Unlike in other regions, affiliates have long history of discussions, engagements and collaborations. Communities tend to focus more on building projects within the localities than discuss matters which do not directly affect them as contributors and organizers. The mean age of the participants is younger than in other regions which explains their priorities and preference.
- This year's host has set the standard for the ESEAP Conference and future hosts can learn a lot from its organizing team.
- I have started pursuing some of the ideas that popped in my mind during the conference. These ideas came from the presentations and discussions with fellow attendees.
- There is so much opportunity for CPUG to outreach in the ESEAP region through organizing photo walks, tutorials and competitions with the support from the local Wikimedians.
- Most of the sessions I attended were those in the Sayat-sayat Room and Timpohon Room. I only found the Mahua 1 Room on the second day because there was no visible guide pointing this.
- The Cultural Village Trip and Karaoke Party gave the participants a chance to immerse with our diverse culture in an exciting and fun way.
