editThis workshop was organized as part of the CIS-A2K MoU with TISS. This is also part of the Indian Language Mela being organized by Centre for Indian Languages in Higher Education, TISS.
Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, has students from diverse linguistic backgrounds. The workshop was organised to orient them in understanding and editing of Indian language Wikipedias. It had presentation on Wikipedia followed by hands-on editing session.
Students learnt these things-
- Creating a username in Wikipedia.
- How to edit an existing article in Wikipedia.
- How to create a new article in Wikipedia.
- The syntax of Wikipedia.
- Wiki interlinking.
- Adding references.
- Wikipedia article quality.
