马来西亚的 COVID-19
自 2022 年 8 月 1 日起，所有旅客无论其 COVID-19 疫苗接种情况如何，均可进入马来西亚，无需进行出境前或抵达时的 COVID-19 检测。马来西亚政府不会在旅客入境时强制执行与 COVID-19 相关的检疫令。(更多信息).

Travelling to Malaysia
Effective immediately, all foreign travellers must complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) within three (3) days prior to their scheduled arrival in Malaysia.
Steps required:
- Step 1: Fill up the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) here
- Step 2: Submit the MDAC within three (3) days prior to your arrival to Malaysia. Proof of submission will be sent to your registered email.
- Step 3: Upon arrival in Malaysia, kindly proceed to the Immigration counters.
The following travellers are exempted from this new requirement:
- Singaporeans
- Diplomatic and Official Passports holders
- Malaysian permanent residents (PR) and Long-Term Pass holders
- Brunei Common Certificate of Identification (GCI) holders
- Brunei-Malaysia Frequent Traveller Facility holders
- Thailand Border Pass holders
- Indonesian Cross Border Pass (PLB) holders

Travelling to Kota Kinabalu
Travelers entering Malaysia, including Kota Kinabalu, need to obtain a visa unless they are coming from one of the visa-exempt countries¹. The Malaysian government issues three types of visas to foreigners¹:
- Single Entry Visa: Issued to foreigners requiring a visa to enter Malaysia primarily for social visits. Typically valid for a single entry and for three (3) months from the date of issue.
- Multiple Entry Visa: Issued to foreigners requiring a visa to enter Malaysia primarily for business or government matters. Typically valid for a period of three (3) months to twelve (12) months from the date of issue.
- Transit Visa: Issued to foreigners requiring a visa to enter Malaysia while in transit to another country. Foreigners transiting without leaving the airport premises and continuing their journey to the next destination on the same flight do not require a transit visa¹.

However, if you do not leave Malaysia at any time during your journey and there are still days remaining on the visit pass granted when you entered Malaysia, you do not need a visa or special permission to visit Kota Kinabalu³. Additionally, starting from November 1, 2021, foreigners can enter Sabah for social visits without requiring special entry approval.
