ESEAP Conference 2024/Report/Laindan
I only show my identification card because this is my favorite
I have learned
edit- I hear friends (i mean participants) from Australia and beyond talking about gender equality, I really like discussing this, even though sometimes I criticize it, I still like it
- I learned more about gender equality through this conference.
- I also listened a little to the stories of friends (i mean participants) from New Zealand, about how they integrated their environment when they were children and etc. (Maybe)
- I felt like I was there, learning and understanding the place of their childhood.
- I also took classes from Japanese friends (i mean participants), they did a survey, some were the oldest wikimedian and some were also the best wikimedian in 2023.
- I learned less, feel more.
Plans after Conference
edit- I see that my friends (I mean participants) really like editing using laptops, so I will try another method, namely improving my editing skills in Wikimedia projects using a cellphone. (Because i don't have laptop sadly)
- Maybe this is time for an international level "Wikilatih" to improve young people like me editing on Wikimedia projects.
- Looking for a way to translate articles other than Indonesian and starting to contribute using my local language, namely Makassar.
- Become a better photographer.
- Become a better person.
I contributed
editI became a interpreter on Zoom for English language to Indonesian
Conversations that I love and can't forget (not important to read)
edit- On the night of arrival I had difficulty falling asleep and thought about walking for a while, I met many friends from other countries, they were nice and I felt happy.
- Some people asked about my age and they seemed surprised that someone so young was at the conference They asked about how I was and why I contributed to Wikimedia. I just said it all started from "Wikilatih".
Special Thanks
edit- I would like to thank the Wikimedia Foundation for allowing and providing a scholarship to be able to attend this conference. Honestly, this is my first time traveling this far and it will be a once in a lifetime experience. My mother is very proud of me because of this, once again thank you Wikimedia for making the best experience and birthday for me.
- I also want to thank my friends (All participants no exception) at the conference for giving me their best smiles when greeting me. I feel the warmth of friendship and family when I meet all of you. We are all different but the existence of Wikimedia makes our similarities even more pronounced. Once again thank you all.
