Pedagogy in crisis: support for teachers in Peru

Abstract:
General crises in Peru (e.g., pandemic, political, etc.) have deeply affected Peruvian school pedagogy. In this session we want to analyse the current situation of secondary school teachers, in Puno (Peru) in terms of access, verification, and creation of knowledge (i.e. Wikipedia, Encyclopedias, etc.). For doing it, we run a survey where we ask questions about i) knowledge and use of encyclopedias and Wikipedia, ii) Media and Information Literacy, and iii) training courses and tools. Furthermore, we show some findings and possible future work.
