Abstract:
In this session, we are interested in sharing the experience of the internship program carried out in the framework of the project "21st Century Skills in Action" during 2022 in the LAC region. The proposal was led by Wikimedia Argentina and the Wikimedia Foundation, with support from the IDB, and the participation of chapters and user groups from Uruguay, Mexico, Bolivia, Colombia and Chile.
We will divide the time of the session in three moments. First, we will contextualize the project "21st Century Skills in Action", explaining its two stages: the virtual course and the internship program. Then, we will describe the internship experience from each country, highlighting the positive aspects and difficulties. Finally, we will share the challenges involved in carrying out this activity together, in order to discuss with the session participants the role of the internship as a space for capacity building for educational programs.
