About the Event

Background

Join us in celebrating the Central Bikol Wiktionary 2nd birthday! The project will be a 2-day series of edit-a-thons in Central Bikol Wiktionary, focusing on adding new word entries, definitions, and sentence examples.

Objectives

1. Recruit new editors for the Central Bikol Wiktionary in youth demography
2. Increase skills for existing editors in defining word entries suited to a dictionary format
3. Add word entries to reach the 5,500th word after the two-day edit-a-thon

Activities

There will be a series of edit-a-thons, and each event will focus on different sub-tasks. First will be a tutorial on basic editing on Central Bikol Wiktionary; second will be adding word entries that still need to be available on the local Wiktionary, including their definition; and lastly, will provide examples through sentences on the usage of the new word entry.
