This is an Art and Feminism Event which aims to bridge the gender gap on Wikipedia by creating and improving articles and Wikidata items about notable women. Through this virtual event, we will build a community of editors, provide training and support for new editors, and facilitate networking among participants to promote diversity and inclusion on Wikipedia.
A contest will be launched alongside the editathon, where participants will compete to create and improve the most Wikipedia articles and Wikidata items about notable women. Outstanding contributors will be rewarded with gift vouchers, recognizing their efforts to bridge the gender gap on Wikipedia.
Rules for the Contest
edit- Create/Expand an article to minimum of 4000 bytes or 400 words.
- The article should not be machine translated
- The article should be created or expanded between March 8 to March 31, 2025
- The article must be translated to a readable quality in English or Dagbani language
- References must be aligned as how the translated article
