In this first ever meetup, We'll show you a new tool Developed by Wikimedia Foundation Campaign Team. This tool is a significant development in the field of organizing events for campaigns organized by the global community. Its goal is to facilitate the launch of events in a just a few minutes., with the help of the Foundation's developers. This meeting is an opportunity for the Arab community, both organizers and administrators, to learn more about it. We want to improve the user experience of the tool by allowing it to be used across all projects, and make the Wikimedia community stronger. Join us at this meetup!

About the tool

Never before has the Arabic Wikipedia seen such a large number of events and initiatives as these days, and organizers, whether regular volunteers or members of user groups, are intensifying their efforts to launch events of various kinds to enrich the encyclopedia.

Currently, as you have probably heard, the Campaigns team at the Wikimedia Foundation is working on a project to make event management easier. is working on a project to make event management easier, and they've already created a event registration tool with cool dashboard-linked options that protect privacy and allow you to distribute forms, send emails to participants, and more, all with a few clicks.

The development team does not plan to stop there, as they are currently working on developing various features such as Event Invitations. Recently, the Arabic-speaking community's interest in this tool has increased, as has the global community's interest in it, with the number of registrations for some events exceeding 400 registrants, but there are some issues that Arabic-speaking organizers face, especially when it comes to managing two pages - one on Meta and one on Wikipedia - as well as the lack of simple Arabic language support on Meta, such as |here.

• Better local event and campaign management on Arabic Wikipedia.
• The new tool will not affect Arabic Wikipedia pages.
• Only organizers with organizer rights can create event pages (the community decides on the distribution of powers locally)
