WikiAfrica Hour is a monthly live discussion that support the activities of the WikiAfrica movement and Wikimedians across Africa.

WikiAfrica Hour 's intention is to: Share current updates, and highlights of Africa Wikimedians activities Interact with guest(s) (if any), and take questions from community members Promote synergy within the Wiki community by discussing topics, projects, constraints, collaborations, and opportunities.

Description

The 41th episode is the last episode of the year 2024 so it will be a special one to show some African individuals and communities achievements to raise our mission “WikiAfrica Hour is the voice of African Wikimedians and it is a space where Africa’s Wikimedians share their work and knowledge and digest”.

This episode will:

• Host some of the African Leaders to talk about their projects
• Share experiences about the foundation of the project, the facilitation, and the obstacles.
• Share successful inwiki and outwiki partnerships
• Celebrate the achievements!
• Share takeaways for audience to have a smoother start and sustainability

Guest Host

• Justice Okai-Allotey: a digital engagement strategist and enthusiast with core skills in communications, business development, social media strategy, management, content creation and curation. He is also a Ghanaian Wikipedian and interim Board Chair of the Wikimedia Ghana User Group, leading efforts to improve Ghanaian articles on Wikipedia.

• Loubna Ait Oumasste: prepares and presents the WikiPodcast program.
• Robert Jamal: co-founded the Fante Wikimedians Community and is an administrator on the Twi and Fante Wikipedias.
• Barakat Adegboye: Wikimedian-in-Residence for the Wiki Imagine Lagos project.
• Fatima Oury Sow Gueye: Co-founder of the Wikimedia Community User Group Senegal.
