Wiki Loves Monuments is an international photo competition to promote historic sites around the World through Wikimedia projects (mainly Wikimedia Commons, Wikipedia, and Wikidata). Everybody with a Wikimedia account can participate. This year Belgium and Luxemburg participate again. You are encouraged to submit photos of monuments in Belgium and Luxemburg between 1 and 30 September 2024. By uploading your photos to the competition, you share our heritage with the rest of the world. We explain below how to participate, what you can win and what monument sites are eligible. Why participate?editParticipating in Wiki Loves Monuments, the largest photo competition in the world, helps Wikipedia to document monuments and heritage buildings. Participating is fun! By photographing and sharing images of heritage, you can explore more about Belgium and Luxemburg heritage and learn about it. It's a nice challenge to improve your photography skills, and you can win nice prizes. The national jury will select 10 images that will represent Belgium and Luxemburg and compete in the international finale. More information about the international competition is available on the international website. You can also upload images that you may have taken during one of your foreign travels to the respective national competition of other countries.
