We'll learn about the history of those musical styles, get trained on how to use Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons, and connect with like-minded people.

Whether you're a seasoned editor or new to the world of Wiki, this event is perfect for anyone looking to learn, collaborate, and have a great time. Bring your laptop, and get ready to groove while making a positive impact on the world of online knowledge sharing.

Food and drinks will be provided. We will also have live Spanish interpreters for those who need translation.

We'll also engage with projects such as WikiProject Latin Music and WikiProject United States/Hispanic and Latino Americans task force, and will encourage editing on both English and Spanish Wikipedia.

The Wikicurious series is supported by Craig Newmark Philanthropies. Wikimedia NYC is an official affiliate and supported by the Wikimedia Foundation. Also supporting this event are Equis, The Celia Cruz Foundation, and the International Museum of Salsa.
