Welcome to the Wikimania Day Zero Advocacy Workshop
The Global Advocacy team, along with Wikimedians from the WikiAdvocacy community, are excited to announce a pivotal meeting scheduled for the day before Wikimania 2024 kicks off - Wikimania Zero Day.
This event aims to unite passionate Wikimedians dedicated to public policy advocacy, providing a unique opportunity to tackle ongoing issues, engage in dynamic discussions, and enhance our collective skills. Building on the momentum from successful events like the advocacy meet-up in Chile and the WMEU General Assembly, this gathering promises to be a catalyst for further collaboration and growth.
Our ambitious goal is to harness this momentum and solidify a robust advocacy network. By doing so, we aim to lay a strong foundation for coordinated advocacy campaigns on critical issues, such as effectively communicating the Wikimedia model to public policy stakeholders. Together, we can create a powerful, united front that champions the values and mission of Wikimedia on the global stage. Join us in making a lasting impact!
