Event Summary metrics
editThe Event Summary reports provide an overview of event activity and impact. These are the Event Summary metrics.
- Avg. daily views to files uploaded: A 31-day average of daily pageviews to all main namespace pages on all wikis on which Files Uploaded have been placed (compiled once per day). If fewer than 31 days are available, the average is calculated for the available days.
- Avg. daily views to pages improved: A 31-day average of daily pageviews to all Pages Improved during the event (compiled once per day). If fewer than 31 days are available, the average is calculated for the available days.
- Bytes changed: The net bytes added and deleted in main namespace Wikipedia pages (in the specified wikis and consistent with all active filters). Does not include images or other files but does count wikitext coding.
- Edits: A count of all changes saved to main namespace pages and to Wikidata items during the event. Changes to pages on Commons are not counted.
- Files uploaded: A count of the files of all types uploaded during the event to specified wikis, including but not limited to Commons.
- New editors: The % of Participants whose accounts were registered within a 14 day-window prior to the event.
- Pages created: A count of main namespace pages created during the event (in the specified wikis and consistent with all active filters). Pages created on Commons and Wikidate are not counted in this metric.
- Pages improved: A count of main namespace Wikipedia pages edited during the event, excluding Pages Created (in the specified wikis and consistent with all active filters).
- Participants: If the Participants filter is in use, a simple count of the usernames supplied there. Otherwise, the system derives a count of all editors who made contributions during the event (in the specified wikis and consistent with active filters).
- Retention after 7 days: The % of New Editors who make at least one edit in any Wikimedia project in any namespace at any time beginning 7 days after the event until the report is run. (Prior to the expiration of 7 days, all New Editors are counted as retained.)
- Unique pages with uploaded files: A count of all non-duplicate main namespace pages, on all wikis, on which Files Uploaded have been placed.
- Uploaded files in use: A count of the Files Uploaded that have been placed on at least one main namespace page on any wiki.
- Views to pages created: Cumulative pageviews to all main namespace pages created during the event (compiled once per day).
- Wikidata items created: A count of all new Wikidata items created during the event. (Wikidata must be included among the specified wikis for the event.)
- Wikidata items improved:A count of all Wikidata items edited during the event, excluding Wikidata Items Created. (Wikidata must be included among the specified wikis for the event.)
Pages Created metrics
editThe Pages Created reports give details about each of the main namespace pages and Wikidata items generated during an event (see definition of Pages Created and Wikidata Items Created in the Event Summary metrics, above). These are the Pages Created metrics:
- Avg. daily pageviews: A 31day average of daily views to the page or Wikidata item (compiled once per day). If fewer than 31 days are available, the average is calculated for the available days.
- Bytes changed during event: The net bytes added to and deleted from the page or Wikidata item during the event.
- Creator: The username of the person who created the page or Wikidata item.
- Edits during event: A count of all edits made to the page or Wikidata item during the event.
- Incoming links: A count of all main namespace wiki links to the page or Wikidata item from creation until the last data update. Provided as one index of the page’s influence and impact.
- More page metrics: Provides a link to the XTools "Page History" page for that article or Wikidata item, where you can find detailed analytics.
- Pageviews, cumulative: A count of all pageviews made to the page or Wikidata item from creation until the last data update (compiled once per day).
- Title: The name of each main namespace page or Wikidata item created during the event.
- Wiki: The wiki project where the page or Wikidata item exists. Limited to the short list of wikis specified as being of interest during event setup. (For space reasons, Wikipedias are labeled using the language name only.)
Pages Improved metrics
editThe Pages Improved reports give details about each of the main namespace pages and Wikidata items edited during an event (see definitions of Pages Improved and Wikidata Items Improved in the Event Summary metrics, above). These are the Pages Improved metrics:
- Avg. daily pageviews A 31day average of daily views to the page or Wikidata item (compiled once per day). If fewer than 31 days are available, the average is calculated for the available days.
- Bytes changed during event The net bytes added to and deleted from the page or Wikidata item during the event.
- Edits during event A count of all edits made to the page or Wikidata item during the event period.
- Incoming links A count of all main namespace wiki links to the page or Wikidata item from creation until the last data update. Provided as one index of the page’s influence and impact.
- More page metrics Provides a link to the XTools "Page History" page for that article or Wikidata item, where you can find detailed analytics.
- Title: The name of each Page Improved and Wikidata Item Improved (excluding Pages Created and Wikidata Items Created).
- Wiki: The wiki project where the page or Wikidata item exists. Limited to the short list of wikis specified as being of interest during event setup. (For space reasons, Wikipedias are labeled using the language name only.)
