Македонски: Подготовка на катализаторот: околу 100 mg H2[PtCl6] (или PtCl4, или PdCl2) се раствора во 10 cm3 дестилирана вода. Во ваквиот раствор се вронува снопчето графитни влакна, а потоа се жари на бренер до пиролиза на киселината (солта). При тоа се добива метал го голема активна површина. Овој катализатор се нафаќа врз графитните влакна и може да се користи подолго време.

H2[PtCl6](aq) = 2HCl(g) + 2Cl2(g) + Pt(s)

PdCl2(aq) = Cl2(g) + Pd(s)

Балонот е наполнет со водород. Со помош на славината се испушта гасот, а на излезната цевка се приближува катализаторот. Веднаш доаѓа до негово усвитување и палење на водородот. Ова е пример за хетерогена катализа. Катализаторот ја намалува енергијата на активација и реакцијата се одвива при собна температура.

English: Preparation of the catalyst: ≈ 100 mg of H2[PtCl6] (or PtCl4, or PdCl2) is dissolved in 10 cm3 distilled water. The tip of the carbon fibers is dipped in the solution, and then heated to red hot till the pyrolysis of the compound. This gives a metal (Pt or Pd) with a large active surface. The catalyst adheres on the graphite fibers and can be used for a long period of time:

H2[PtCl6](aq) = 2HCl(g) + 2Cl2(g) + Pt(s)

PdCl2(aq) = Cl2(g) + Pd(s)

The balloon is filled with hydrogen gas. Using the tap the gas is aimed at the catalyst. Soon the catalyst starts to glow red and lights the hydrogen. This is an example of heterogeneous catalysis. The catalyst lowers the activation energy and the reaction proceeds at room temperature.
