English: Sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) properties
Under ambient conditions, SF6 is a heavy, colorless and odorless gas. There are only few chemical reactions where SF 6 can participate. Because of the high the molar mass value (more than five times greater than the one of the air, М(SF6) = 146 g/mol), sulfur hexafluoride can be used for the demonstration of the floating of improvised aluminum boat in “air”. Actually the floating is on SF6 and not air. Performed by the retired Prof. PhD Vladimir Petruševski with the help of the Prof. PhD Miha Bukleski. The planning of the experiment also included the students Mihail Trajkov and Darko Stojčev, Department of Chemistry, FNSM, Ss. При амбиентални услови, SF6 е „тежок“ гас, без боја и без миризба. Релативно мал е бројот на хемиски реакции во кои тој може да учествува. Поради високата вредноста за моларната маса (повеќе од петпати поголема од онаа на воздухот, М(SF6) = 146 g/mol), сулфур хексафлуоридот може да послужи за изведба на импровизирано алуминиумско бротче (чамче) што привидно лебди во „воздухот“. Се разбира лебдењето е во SF6, a не во воздух. Изведено од пензионираниот Проф. д-р Владимир Петрушевски со помош од Проф. д-р Миха Буклески. Во планирањето на опитот, исто така беа вклучени студентите Михаил Трајков и Дарко Стојчев, Институт за хемија, ПМФ, УКИМ, Скопје, Македонија. |
