Description

O Castelo de Pambre é unha das mellores mostras da arquitectura medieval militar que existe en Galicia, e das poucas que quedaron en pé trala revolta irmandiña. Foi construido a finais do século XIV por don Gonzalo Ozores de Ulloa.

Foi un dos poucos castelos que non foron destruídos polos irmandiños, e salvouse grazas á astucia de Sancho Sánchez de Ulloa que tratou de falar cos sublevados nunha histórica reunión en Melide e que, ante as esixencias de que entregase o castelo e temendo pola súa vida, decide fuxir salvando a vida e o castelo que foi respectado polos irmandiños.
