English: :The Blue-winged Kookaburra males usually start this call right on the first glow of light in the eastern sky and also the last glow of light in the evening . They will use the same call during the day around breeding season to attract mates and let other males know their territory .

Their habitat is mainly semi-arid country along water ways in the Northern Parts across Australia . They are normally stationary birds do not move very far during the year .

Their food consists of Reptiles- small birds- marsupiales - frogs and large insects .

Their nesting habits are usually hollows in Eucalypt trees and sometimes in cliff faces where small hollows may excist '

They are a very nervous bird and will sit very still in foliage so not to be seen .
