English: Dewi Sartika (4 December 1884 – 11 September 1947), an Indonesian National Heroine of Women emancipation. She was the leading figure and pioneer for the education for women in Indonesia. She founded the first school for women in Dutch East Indies. She was acknowledged as a National Hero by the Indonesian government in 1966.
Bahasa Indonesia: Dewi Sartika (4 Desember 1884 – 11 September 1947), adalah Pahlawan Nasional Indonesia bidang Emansipasi Perempuan. Ia adalah tokoh perintis pendidikan perempuan di Indonesia. Mendirikan sekolah pertama untuk kaum perempuan di Hindia Belanda. Diangkat menjadi pahlawan nasional oleh pemerintah Indonesia pada 1966
