English: :I believe this is a young Cassin's Sparrow, learning to sing, practicing. But I did not see the bird. It's a Cassin's Sparrow song, but the bird is unable to maintain the sustained trills and whistles, or sometimes the song is cut short, or sometimes the trills come out flat, as if someone is running a fingernail along the teeth of a comb. This was recorded in a field that had many breeding Cassin's Sparrows this summer.
