English: :A single call from a bird foraging on the surface vegetation at the border of typha marsh and open water. Observed from an observation deck at the end of a wooden walkway through the marsh.

There were a large number of Soras in the immediate vicinity (they were moving through in large numbers on migration). 5-10 birds were almost always foraging in sight and many more hidden in the cattails, which resulted in quite a few squabbles between individuals.

Unfortunately, a fair amount of traffic noise from a nearby highway, though some low-frequency noise was filtered out.
