P. subrudecta was growing on a Virginia Pine (Pinus virginiana) amongst a large vine of Poison Ivy (Toxicodendron radicans) along the Serpentine Trail at Soldiers Delight Natural Environment Area (W of Red Dog Lodge and next to a fence), Baltimore County, Maryland, USA.   N 39o24.490'   W 76o50.965'
