Wikipedia is always there for me. How can I not want to give back?

For Wikipedia, giving back usually means editing the content. I'm not much of an expert, but I’m kind of a geek: a passionate self-learner, and a hopeless perfectionist. I remember when five years ago, I timidly decided to make my first edit. Then I started adding a comma here, fixing a date there. Like everyone, I started small, but by now I have thousands of edits under my belt.

Those small contributions add up – Wikipedia is built by thousands of people sharing just a little bit at a time. And that's how it's funded, too. I'm a regular guy, I'm not rich – but I can give a few dollars to make sure Wikipedia will stay strong and ad-free and free for everyone to use.

Whether or not you ever contribute to Wikipedia by adding knowledge, I hope you will make a donation today, even if it's just $25, $50 or $100. Those small contributions add up – and don't we all want to give back?
