5: | Following a Request for Comment on founding a travel guide, the Wikimedia Foundation has announced that it is seeking declaratory relief against Internet Brands (IB), the owner of Wikitravel, in response to "legal threats" from IB.

31: | The Wikimedia Foundation's Legal and Community Advocacy department is holding a Request for Comment on the Legal Fees Assistance Program, which, if approved by the Board following the RfC, would secure funds for legal assistance in appropriate cases for Wikimedia users who serve in a "support role". Editors are invited to comment.

28: | The Wikimedia Foundation's 2012-13 annual plan has just been published, accompanied by a Q&A (2012-2013 Annual Plan Questions and Answers). Comments and suggestions are welcome at Talk:Wikimedia budget.

10: | The Russian Wikipedia was blacked out for 24 hours by community decision to draw attention to currently debating the legislation that would allow the government to blacklist web sites and enforce that blacklist, creating the real censorship of the Internet. Several other projects ran banners in support.
