• Participants of the campaign were given instructions to choose a word from the provided word list, find an image from Wikimedia Commons that goes with that word, and paste the link on the corresponding section. The following are examples of images chosen for various words:

• The page was viewed 1,139 times between February 2017 and March 2017.
• A total of 333 edits were made.
• There were 28 distinct editors
• Conversations about the campaign were held on Commons Talk and the Village Pump. One participant commented that they found the campaign to be "a very interesting challenge." Others discussed the excitement and difficulty of visualizing the listed words in order to find a well representing image.

Lessons Learned

• The campaign allowed us to create a picture card deck that any facilitator can use for ice breakers during events and activities across the movement

• Success in participation for the campaign was largely the result of effective outreach efforts. We reached out to Wikimedians on social media such as Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest. We also reached out to all Wikimedia employees via email. Some employees shared the campaign on their social media and one even posted the campaign on a village pump, resulting in a great increase in participation.

• This campaign was fun and simple for those participating. This was important because participation was crucial in order to achieve originality, diversity, and creativity in the picture card deck.

• With an increased outreach effort and campaign time frame, we could've increased participation. If this is done in the future and given more time, the crowd-source picture card deck could be much larger.

Next Steps

• The campaign page will remain available as an image repository resource for anyone who would find it useful. Participants can continue to add words and corresponding images as they please.

• The card deck will be utilized at the upcoming Learning Days at the Wikimedia 2017 Conference as an ice-breaker activity to help attendees express goals and expectations.

• The deck is also available for download on Google Drive.
