  • Wikimedians such as Meena gayathri, venkata ramana, swaralasika started helping the grant work through developing catalog with some book details, creating articles and developing articles using the books in dli.
  • Conducted an edit-a-thon regarding the project in Tadepalligudem on august 7, 2014. Through this off-wiki program I've made senior wikipedians Viswanath B K and Palagiri Ramakrishna Reddy to contribute this project and took some useful advices regarding community engagement too. Some other wikipedians also participated in this program. We also conducted an academy on telugu wikipedia. • We faced a major problem in this month. DLI portal got stopped might be due to technical problems or some other problem for 8 days from 27th august. We tried contacting the people behind the website but couldn't succeeded. We couldn't do any cataloging activity, which is the core idea and activity of this problem for those 8 days. Fortunately, website started working from 9th day.

Rationale

edit

Digital library of India website became slow and stopped many a times for weeks together in september to december last year. Morale and inspiration in my volunteers also have became low. From december DLI website is supporting us with very less technical problems. I could see many great books being added in catalog pages. Many texts from this catalogued books also being added in wikisource by volunteers. I see this as a good momentum for the cause. I wanted few months to make this more successful and meet all measures of success.--Pavan santhosh.s (talk) 05:47, 18 January 2015 (UTC)
