Part 2 of 2: Project Plan and Community Discussion
Saving the sections in the edit box below creates the required structure for the final part of your IEG proposal. This will become your project plan and create space for community discussion.
Provide as much information as you have now, and you can add and make revisions later to keep developing your proposal until the scheduled deadline.
Step 1. Project plan
Tell us about the scope, budget and impact of your project in the provided sections.
- Target audience: we recommend being as specific as you can about who you'll try to reach.
- Community engagement: we recommend making a plan for how you'll incorporate community participation and feedback into each phase of your project.
- Measures of success: we recommend setting specific, measurable targets, to help everyone involved understand what a successful outcome of this experiment would look like. For example, "80 new images and 20 new editors" is a more useful target than "more images and editors."
Step 2. Participants
Tell us about yourself and any other people who will be working on this project. We like to understand who you are and what you contribute to the project.
Step 3. Community notification
This section is where you'll paste links to places you've notified your target community, and to any other relevant discussions on the project.
- You are responsible for notifying relevant communities of your proposal.
- We recommend engaging your target Wikimedia community early and often. You'll want to give enough time for community input because we prefer to fund projects with good community engagement.
- If you don't have links to community discussion yet, that's ok, just save the page as-is, then go notify by starting your discussion somewhere that your target community is likely to see it, and come back to your proposal to add the link to your notification as soon as you can.
Step 4. Save the page
Press Save page. Then you will have finished creating all sections of your proposal.
Step 5. Update and PROPOSE
After saving, you may continue to edit your page to add more information to your proposal. Once you feel it is complete and ready for review, update the status to PROPOSED (status=PROPOSED in the infobox markup)
