Project idea
editWhat is the problem you're trying to solve?
editBuilding a contributing community is one of the bigger challenge in such a project. So preventing involved contributor to develop harmful behavior toward each-other seems important. In academic field, such a behavior could emerge from strong egos, so it may be of use in the 'Journal Scientifique Libre' that I try to develop.
What is your solution?
editAccording to different kind of behavior on a wiki, harassment can (may) be spotted from time and practice divergence with 'normal' behavior.
Frequency, location and content. Analytical tools could be devised to check activity of an account to specific pages (extension of contribution analysis). A 'high' frequency edition from the same user toward a same page (discussion or user), for a 'long' time period, with strong correlation with a 'controlled vocabulary list' based on reported harassment cases, could : either create an action (trigger an alert, pause a temporary protection) , or be used as proof in sanction applications.

editAbout the idea creator
editHi, I'm Rudy PATARD. I'm a (father, husband, human being) PhD student in north of France. I'm no pro on wikis but I studied some of its potential. I'm willing to learn more about the programming surrounding wikis (bot in particular).
