Grants:IdeaLab/Collaboration Spread Sheet
Project idea
editWhat is the problem you're trying to solve?
editTo find collaborators who are interested and willing to help. Very often attempts to do so through tracking previous editors, leaving messages on individual talk pages, or even asking for "help" proves ineffective; many are no longer active, leaving individual help requests on talk pages is time consuming, and help requests often elicit "got to help page..." which is often no help.
What is your solution?
editCreation of a form or 'spreadsheet' where participants can offer their skills while stating their interests. Example:
Shir-El too - Skills: writer, copy editor, layout. Interests: History, Archaeology, Films, Espionage, improving Wikipedia! Ideally this form would automatically erase entries older than 3 months, so that all offers of assistance would be current.
Goals
editThe creation of a tool that will speed up communications between interested parties in the shortest possible time.
