Grants:IdeaLab/Connecting Wikipedia with open databases
Project idea
editWhat is the problem you're trying to solve?
editWe, IT developers, data scientists, students, ... need data in structured form for automatic processing. Wikipedia contains plenty of useful lists with data that cannot be used because they are plain-text format. Other projects like dbpedia will never work because we need to store data on a single place and that is Wikipedia.
What is your solution?
editInstead of storing data in wiki markup lets store them in structured form. Wikipedia can generate pages using this data. As a simplest solution for example Google Spreadsheets/open CSV files/... can be used.
Who will you be doing outreach with?

No funding needed?
