Grants:IdeaLab/Filter, Verify and Post

Filter, Verify and Post
Free access to edit articles is one major reason to all the problems that wikimedia is facing. My suggestion is that readers should edit articles but first their edited articles need to be verified by selected admin from respective field and then posted. Wikimedia has to select expert people to be admin of articles of their respective field. This filter will prevent the campaign target problems.

Project idea

What is the problem you're trying to solve?

edit

Irrelevant changes in articles, harassment issues are major problems that my idea will address.

What is your solution?

edit

People who don't have any expertise in a certain field are seen editing documents. This filter and post idea will prevent irrelevant changes in the articles as well as harassment issue will also be addressed as they will be filtered by admin unless admin himself/herself is involved in harassment, so choose admin wisely.

  • Administrators (experts in their respective field) should approve edited articles, verify and then finally publish. This will prevent unauthorized and irrelevant article edits by random readers who have absolutely no/less knowledge in that field. This filter will also help to prevent harassment and/or publication of provoking/sexually abusing contents.
