Grants:IdeaLab/Quality VS References

Quality VS References
La "qualité" exige des références; le nombre de references, en chiffre absolu et par X bytes" pourrait servir à promouvoir de manière instantanée, sans intervention des évaluateurs, les "articles les mieux documentés". Project idea

What is the problem you're trying to solve?

edit

What is quality ? How to assess it ? And how to combine the search for visibility with qualiry ? (In French: Comment combiner la recherche de visibilité avec la qualité ?)

What is your solution?

edit

The principle I propose is the foillowing: Put quality first, and show it is important; Visibility will come by itself. Accept lower visibility if lower quality, and reputation will gain; time acting on a good reputation. inclufing growing quality, will endlessly increase visibility.

Imagine a new and objective criteria to globally and automatically assess (that aspect of) quality...

1) To calculate and indicate number of byte per reference, - as a clue... (an approach to "quality management")

2) Evaluate if this newly defined criteria statistically correspond to the stage actually defined for the "advancement" of articles;

3 identify articles apparently deficient, as well as groups of related articles within projects.

4) Use this (eventually validated) and automatic approach to promote "best documented articles",
