Project idea
editWhat is the problem you're trying to solve?
editThis Idea is Created to solve the user Harassment issue and to encourage users to contribute to Wikipedia Movement.
What is your solution?
editFamilies should be made inside Wikipedia community as it is not possible to council every user. When a user joins the community, user should be welcomed by its family. Every family should be headed by an administrator and should not be more then 10 members. There must be Rules for administrators to control their family, family head (Admin) should be able to block it's family members or Throw Family Member out off the Family etc. There should also be an Upper Family Committee to whom Administrator can Address and take help on Family Issues. Any user who is harassed must tell his/her family members to support him/her. Evey Action like editing, Creating Articles etc. should be brought in the knowledge of the whole Family through a Family Desk. To keep this system running, Monthly Awards should be given to the Best Family with an increase in the power of the members of that family.
Project goals
editThis Project will not only help in solving the issue of harassment on Wikipedia but will also be an extra duty of the administrators to basically save their Administrator ship and encourage their family members to participate and contribute to Wikipedia. It will also make it easier to implement new Laws as it will all be Administrators Duty to inform his family members that what has been changed. Administrators will also Try their level best to keep their Family a good one to get the Monthly Rewards that comes with it.

edit- This is interesting to me. My first thought was "Oh hell, what if I get assigned to a family of right-wing neo-consrvatives?" But then it seemed like that might be a good thing. Like the old saying: You can pick your friends, but you can't pick your family, it seems everyone nowadays just hangs out with like-minded people. How good would it be if we occasionally sat in contemplation with someone who had different views. I suspect success would have a lot to do with the parents... matriarch or patriarch.
- Downside: doesn't it sound enormously diffucult to organize and maintain small enclaves of users?
- One final thought... I certainly DO NOT like ideas of competitions. Not everything needs to be made into a team sport. My village against yours, my feudal castle against yours, to what purpose? Saltlakejohn (talk) 23:20, 4 June 2016 (UTC)
