Activities and lessons learned
editThis section describes what the grantee did, and what the grantee learned from implementing the project. This section should be useful to others implementing similar projects and is an opportunity for the grantee to reflect on the project's performance.
Activities
edit- Provide a detailed list of activities performed to complete this project, descriptions of these activities, and the amount of time spent on each activity. This section should also include a list of participants, or a link to pictures, blog posts, or videos from the project or event.
- As there was no Wikipedian-in-Residence there have been no activities. However we have had dialogues with GLAM instituions about getting one.
Lessons learned
edit- What lessons were learned that may help others succeed in similar projects? Consider the following questions and respond with 1 - 2 paragraphs.
-
- What went well?
- We feel that the institutions in general are interested in working together with us. And especially when we have our own money to fund the project, things are different.
- What did not go well?
- As we did not have a Wikipedian-in-Residence, this goal failed. However we do feel that it should be possible to do so at an other time as it already has been done before.
- What would you do differently if you planned a similar project?
- It is difficult to say what we could have done different. We could insert a Wikipedian-in-Residence with our own money, but none of the institutions had the time/ressources at the time to support the project fully.
Project goal and measures of success
editThis section should reference the project goals and measures of success described in the approved grant submission. See Grants:PEG/WM DK/Wikipedian-in-Residence Scholarship, II to review the goals and metrics listed in the approved submission.
Project goal
edit- Provide the project goal here.
- Encourage GLAM institutions in Denmark to have wikipedians-in-residence
- Did you achieve your project goal? How do you know your goal was achieved? Please answer in 1 - 2 paragraphs.
- Yes in the meaning that we encouraged them, but no in the meaning that we got one.
Measures of success
edit- List the measures of success exactly as provided in the approved grant submission, and evaluate your project according to each measure listed there.
-
- we attract at least one applicant for a wikipedian-in-residence position, who is not a student and does not have alternate funding, or
- salaried positions become the norm for wikipedians-in-residence in Denmark
- Provide an overall assessment of how your project went according to these measures.
- It was a success in the meaning that we in fact could get a person to become a wikipedian-in-residence. Though the institutions are not yet ready to pay them from their own budgets. So the grant money were and are important.
- If you were to plan a similar project, would you measure it differently? If yes, please explain how.
- Not really as this a very specific and meaningful goal.
Impact
editThis section ties this project to Wikimedia's broader goals, and shows what the project accomplished.
- What impact did this project have on WMF's mission and the strategic goals? Please answer in 1 -2 paragraphs and include specific measures of impact such as the number of readers or editors reached by a particular project, or the number of articles edited or improved.
- We are very sure that wikipedians-in-residence inside a GLAM institution, is able to connect the two worlds in a way, a non-residence never could. The fact that the residence is physically placed at their offices gives a completely other way of contact. The resident can get (new) people inside to contribute with text for Wikipedia and images for Commons. They can verify existing articles and give advice.
Reporting and documentation of expenditures
editThis section describes the grant's use of funds
Documentation
edit- Did you send documentation of all expenses paid with grant funds to grants at wikimedia dot org, according to the guidelines here? Answer "Yes" or "No".
- As there were no expenses, no.

- These expenses should be listed in the same format as the budget table in your approved submission so that anyone reading this report may be able to easily compare budgeted vs. actual expenses.
