1. Briefly describe how your strategies and activities proposed were implemented and if any changes to what was proposed are worth highlighting?

組織教師社群是重要的第一步,社群中的同事在自己的課程中融入維基寫作,學生選擇相關條目作為課堂活動,教師提供寫作指導,維基寫作納入成績評量。透過課堂推廣的方式,為維基百科的中文條目帶來「量」與「質」的改變。

另外,成立名為「開放知識社」(又稱 OK 社)的學生社團,由學生規劃相關活動,再搭配教師資源,於校園內推廣「開放知識」及維基寫作課程;校外,透過與國立臺灣歷史博物館及嘉義新港文教基金會的合作,整合彼此的資源來擴充維基媒體系列網站的內容及多元性,將在地特有的文化與知識藉由維基的平台向社會推廣。

籌組教師及學生社群有助於推進量化及質化指標。隨著更多受訓過的參與者,維基中文條目透過學界的視角、精確的內容與可靠的資料來源得到改善。透過維基的計分板的統計,改良條目的數量高於預期。

3. What challenges or obstacles have you encountered so far?

預計於嘉義新港舉辦的台語俗諺採集工作坊,考量COVID疫情的變化,讓當地耆老接觸到團隊(外來者)可能帶來健康上的風險,後續如何執行相關計畫是必須思考的課題。此外,OK 社成員為外來的團隊,如何讓老人家打開心房願意互動,需要長期的溝通與協調。

4. Please describe how different communities are participating and being informed about your work.

一、歷史系教師社群:所有參與社群的歷史系教師將維基條目寫作融入課程,將大學領域的史學專業導入開放知識的平台。

二、開放知識社(OK 社):於成大新成立的學術性學生社團,在校園中推廣「開放知識」,並向校外社群拓展可能的合作機會。

三、國立臺灣歷史博物館:OK 社的合作對象之一,博物館將對75 項館藏進行維基條目書寫計畫,OK 社扮演協助條目寫作的角色。

四、嘉義新港文教基金會:基金會將協助本計畫於嘉義新港當地的推展,主要的合作項目有:台語諺語的錄音採集。

五、嘉義縣新港藝術高中:預計於今年2023年7月展開教學計畫,將維基向下推廣至高中校園。

六、社團法人嘉義縣扶緣服務協會:嘉義當地的長照團體,將維基向上推廣至長照機構。

根據維基計分板的統計,目前已執行6 個方案、82位編輯者、447 條改良條目、369條新創條目,編輯文字已達 40萬8千字且新增1千零20 餘條參考資料。總瀏覽人次更達到 16萬6千人次。

大部分的編輯者在2022 年的課堂及寫作任務中有活躍的表現,他們學習到如何書寫維基,如:參考資料、連結及其他重要編輯方法,以提升維基條目的品質。此外,下個學期(2023) 開始,OK 社同學會協助國立臺灣歷史博物館的館藏維基條目寫作。

先前申請時羅列三項優先學習目標:1. 維基是否能夠成為歷史專業知識公共化的重要平台?2. 維基是否能夠成為地方歷史研究的重要平台?3. 維基是否能夠成為面對快速高齡化的臺灣社會,社區經營的有用資源?

經過此次計劃的前半期,答案是肯定的。維基確實是歷史專業知識公共化的平台,根據計分板的數據,改良條目的部分已累積 16萬6千次閱覽;2022 年舉辦的新港文化採訪編輯營即是維基平台於地方歷史研究的應用與體現;承接上兩點的成功,預計前往嘉義新港的俗諺採集及扶緣活動的下半期計畫即將執行,以應證第三點提問。

溝通與聚會是經營社群的要點。2022年教師社群聚會將維基融入課堂教學列為討論事項,而在台灣爆發 COVID 疫情前,也曾舉辦過數次維基百科應用教學工作坊,邀請台灣維基媒體基金會的王文岳先生及王則文先生至成大歷史系授課。

2022年 10 月 6 日參加亞太地區 [ESEAP] Regional Learning Session (grantees + Regional Funds Committees) 線上討論會,分享台灣維基經驗,其他與會成員分別來自日本、菲律賓、印尼、澳洲及加拿大。台灣在大學端與社區端互動密切,而日本學界似乎傾向保守,與社會社群連結較少,菲律賓及印尼部分則是有推廣的困難。 下學期開學預計舉行新春茶會,邀請歷史系台灣史、中國通史及世界文化史三門必修課的授課老師、教師社群成員參與,討論下一期計畫的合作內容。

計畫執行期間展延:希望可以與 WMF 簽訂展延計畫的合約,將計畫期限延長至 2023 年 7 月 31 日,以利後續計畫進行,如:與新港藝術大學的計畫。

經費項目合併:此外,根據 WMF 核可的預算,田野調查旅費及授課講師旅費項目是分開的,為了更有效利用經費,是否可以將兩個項目的預算合併使用?;學生助理聘用的部分,有:逐字稿、教學助理、研究助理等分類,可否將聘請學生助理的項目整合,以利計劃執行?
