Nupe Wikipedia is in Incubator stage with alot of untranslated interface, we tend to make the site fully translated so that users will have a more convenient access to it in our language even though we are non-recognized Nupe Group (in the process of applying for official status), At the end of the project, we are expecting the old and new Nupe language editors that will be recruited to translate the most important messages of the MediaWiki software on translatewiki.net. Both the old and new editors will be trained on how to translate messages on the translatewiki.net interface, while also monitoring their progress closely. Gift prizes will be given to the top 5 editors during the project as a form of motivation. we are going to host a 2-day in-person translate-a-thon to engage and train old and new Nupe language editors who will be recruited on how to translate the most important messages of the MediaWiki software on translatewiki.net.

Having him as part of the team to implement this awareness will be colorful.He is among the co-founders of the Nupe's wikipedia submitted to Affcom and Langcom :https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Requests_for_new_languages/Wikipedia_Nupe and https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Nupe_Wikimedians_User_Group 2. Training Facilitator - Jameel35 : He is an active editor who always provide time to guide new editors on using incubator. He will play a crucial role of ensuring online guide of using the incubator to new editors. 3 .Project coordinator- Misbahu Umar : He is an experienced editor who is currently the first administrator on the Nupe wikipedia https://incubator.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wp/nup, and happened to be involved in many wikipedia projects. He is among the co-founders of the Nupe's wikipedia submitted to Affcom and Langcom :https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Requests_for_new_languages/Wikipedia_Nupe and https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Nupe_Wikimedians_User_Group 2. 4. Female Representative- Fauziya Isa: She will ensure a smooth communication of the project during and after the project.

As usual, the target participants will be youths based in Niger state of Nigeria, who are native speakers of Nupe language and whom most are students. Participants will be recruited through offline/physical recruitment processes to actualize our project. Participants who will be engaged for the translate-a-thon will be given a form in order to collect their data for registration. On the day of the project, we are going to teach the participants how to edit on translatewiki.net for hitch-free volunteering. When the event is over, the new participants will join our Nupe Wikimedians group, get added to our WhatsApp group and follow our social media pages. All the participants will be receiving updates from us and follow-up will also be conducted through one-on-one engagement, listening to the participants challenges, guiding and answering their questions as the case may be.
