Following the overwhelming success of our first edition of Fulfulde Wikipedia Women Marathon. A project that aims to empower women from northern Nigeria through advocacy, awareness and edit-a-thons being a region where women are mostly underrepresented in making contributions to Wikipedia and taking the leading roles in organizing Wikimedia activities and projects. Also, in the other hand, helps in covering the huge gender gap differences between male and female contributors/volunteers across Wikimedia projects from northern Nigeria. In the previous edition, we highlighted and achieved making an efforts to solve the problem of our small language Wiki, the Fulfulde Wikipedia through the Marathon where we help in supporting the efforts of our community in reducing the suffering for lack of coverage in terms of filling the gender gaps from recruiting and engaging more active female contributors to contributing more women related contents on Fulfulde Wikipedia which results to having over 1,000 new articles about women and improved the existed fewer than 300 articles. We however, noticed the need for organizing this second edtion again not only for the fact that there is still a long way for us in making the women visiblity noticeable on Fulfulde Wikipedia but also for the fact that we believe continous occurance of the marathon will help keep the participants engage and also refine their skills since it is evident that with one or two trainings a newly recruited editor can hardly become a skillful editor worthy of making impressive and impactful contributions to Wikipedia. Inaddition, we believe Fula women's wary of being introduced to participate in activities involving the opposite gender as they are so accultured to shyness is something that may a need a time and efforts to be tackled. Therefore, I believe having a women marathon for the second time where only women would be trained would help us achieve a greater cause in recruiting many more female contributors for Fulfulde Wikipedia, help create more women related contents and of cource help in increasing the skills of the previous participants. And we hope to keep making it a recurrent event that be repeated annually so as to keep this balance that we hope to achieve through this project.

Alternatively, you can upload a timeline document. When the activities include partnerships, include details about your partners and planned partnerships.
I planned to carryout online and offline awareness campaigns amongst women to know about the project and also organize an edit-a-thon/training to train them on how to translated women related contents from other languages (preferably English) to Fulfulde Wikipedia. I will also introduced them to Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons to help them learn how to link the translated article to their respective entities on Wikidata and how to fetch their corresponding images from Commons and insert them to the articles translated.
The activities would go on like this:
- 1. Preparing list of women related contents for translation from English Wikipedia to Fulfulde Wikipedia
- 2. Three days awareness campaign to advocate Fulfulde Wikipedia to Fula women
- 3. Two days edit-a-thon/workshop: the first workshop would be the introduction to the Wikimedia projects while the second would be introduction to Machine Translations and how it works on Fulfulde Wikipedia.
- 4. Certification and awards for the participants and introducing them to Wikimedia Fulfulde Community for retention, meet other community members and furtherance of knowledge.
