6. What is the change you are trying to bring? What are the main challenges or problems you are trying to solve? Describe this change or challenges, as well as main approaches to achieve it. (required)

1. We are trying to capture and make available historical places (photos) in Kaduna state the old capital city of northern region Nigeria and Abuja the Current Capital of Nigeria. These places symbolize history, tourism, culture and heritage there is need to documented them in the movement. These places are important symbols to Nigerian history and Nigeria at large. Documenting those places is vital. it will showcase the rich culture of Nigeria at large. 2. The challenges are the community are finding it difficult to see those places in the movement or be able to link them to some of the articles of the places in Wikipedia. As majority of the places photos are not available on wiki while some places like the Aso Rock have very little representation (photos) on wiki. 3. We will organize a six days photo walk. 3 photo walk in Kaduna and the other 3 in Abuja to these places and an 2 workshops to upload the photos to Wikimedia Commons. 4. We will also use the opportunity to show participants how to link photos from wiki Commons to Wikipedia pages that needs them.

The plan activities are as follow. 1. A 3 days photo walk in Kaduna to A. Kamuku National park: B. Nok Village C. Kajuru Castle D. Matsirga Waterfalls E. Lord lugard footbridge F. Ahmadu Bello Stadium G. Gamji park

2. A 3 days photo walk in Abuja to A. National Mosque Ɓ. Millennium Park C. Aso Rock D. Zuma Rock E. National stadium F. Jabi Park/Lake. G. Wonderland park

2. A 2 days workshop to upload those pictures to Wikimedia Commons for them to be able to be fully utilize and use in the other Wikimedia sister project.

We are thrilled to inform you that, we discussed the idea on the monthly physical session we hold supported by Hausa Wikimedians User Group. We discussed the idea and make plans and provisions for the project at the event . A group of photographers at the event bring the suggestion and we work towards it that's what brought about the idea of this project.
