1. What is the change that you are trying to bring about and why is this important.

In 1950 the British Empire started to decline and many territories in Africa were calling for independence. This led to Nigeria being granted independence from Britain on October 1, 1960, and becoming the Federation of Nigeria fisrt October is very important to every citizen of Nigeria but many of us didn't know the history of that day especially in Northern Nigeria that is Hausa Fulani region so this is the reason why I want celebrate this day and create some articles related to Nigerian independence Day people history and Nigeria it self.

Our main strategies during the event we will focused on creating an articles about the history of Nigeria in Hausa Wikipedia, creating an account for the new users and improving the skills of our existing editors. We will also trained them

During the event we will be creating an account for the new users and guiding them how to start editing Wikipedia pages and it's sisters project, we will also focused on creating an articles related to Nigerian history especially struggling for independence, we will also focused on translating Nigeria history in Hausa Wikipedia from 1914 amalgamation history of independence day we will wether create or translate some articles in to Hausa language

Yes I have the whom they will help me in guiding the new users by engaging them on how to create account after creating account on Wikipedia then we will teach them on how to start contributing in Wikimedia and it's sisters project. They will also help me in organising the event

By organising 4 days of Edit-a-thon and creating an articles regarding Nigerian history in Hausa Wikipedia this will be very effective to Hausa community and in general especially in Northern Nigeria

I'm currently a student in Kaduna State Polytechnic so the targeted participants are the staff, lecturers and students of kadpoly. We have already have a good connection with SUG leaders and other staff we informed them about the event and they are very excited about the event they even encourage us to make a little awareness within the school

The wikimedia friendly space policy will be strictly adhered to the participants before the event starts. We will also provide a good space and materials to help our participants during the events.

I hope to learn how Some articles regarding Nigerian history are translated or improve into Hausa Wikipedia during this event I want learn some articles regarding Nigerian civil war are translated into Hausa Wikipedia.
