After significantly exploring and realizing that there is missing content on Wiki Media projects about academicians and professionals who have made notable contributions in Tanzania and their publications are not in Wikipedia, therefore they need to be published to help others gain knowledge. Only few of them have been represented on Wikipedia and its sisters project. In Tanzania there are thousands of active and notable professors and scientists who cut across different disciplines. However, very few of them have their contribution to Wikipedia by using category:Heads of Universities and Colleges in Tanzania , only a few of them have their articles on Wikipedia. Additionally, there may be barriers such as language barriers, technical hurdles, and unfamiliarity with Wikipedia editing process that discourage potential contributors from sharing information about Tanzanian researchers and academicians. Wikipedia is one of the most widely accessed sources of information globally. By creating articles about professionals and academicians particularly those who have made significant contribution to their fields, Wikipedia ensures that information about these individuals is readily available to anyone with internet access. Also article about professionals and academicians provide insights into their work, research interests, accomplishments, and impact, thereby enhancing understanding of various disciplines and promoting lifelong learning Collaborations and Networks: Investigate the academicians collaborations with other researchers both within their discipline and across interdisciplinary boundaries in Tanzania Universities to identify and engage with distinguished academicians. By fostering partnerships and conducting outreach events, we aim to raise awareness about the importance of documenting Tanzanian researchers contribution on Wikipedia. Edit-a-thon: Conducting an edit-a-thon to both newbies and experienced editors on how to create and improve articles related to Tanzania academics and scientists, there will be a closely monitored edit-a-thon that would be used to massively improve Wikipedia and Wikidata. Improving existing articles: Most of the articles about Tanzania academics and scientist are stubs. They lack appropriate categorization, no description, and are without images. The participants would be trained on how to successfully contribute to them. Articles translation: Most articles about academics and scientists are written in English, we will translate from English to Swahili to add more content to Swahili Wikipedia.

After significantly exploring and realizing that there is missing content on Wikipedia about academicians and professionals who have made notable contributions in Tanzania, it is clear that their publications are not adequately represented. This gaps needs to be addressed to help others gain knowledge about these individuals. Currently, only a few Tanzanian academicians have articles on Wikipedia and its sisters projects. In Tanzania, there are thousands of active and notable professors and scientists across various disciplines , however very few have their contribution documented on Wikipedia. For example https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/category:Heads of universities and colleges in Tanzania, it becomes evident that only a handful have dedicated articles. This under representation highlights the need for greater visibility of Tanzania scholars. Additionally, several barriers hinder potential contributors from sharing information about Tanzania researchers and academicians. To remedy this situation, a collective effort is needed to increase the representation of Tanzania academicians on Wikipedia. This could involve initiatives such as edit-a-thon, collaborations with academic institution and outreach programs to educate potential contributors about the importance of documenting their peers achievement. By working together we can enhance the visibility of Tanzania scholar and ensure that their contribution to knowledge are recognized and celebrated on a global scale.
