I would like to make knowledge freely available on Wikipedia pages on digital economy paying particular attention to the gap in digital tech ownership and consumption between men and women in Africa. This will serve as a means of encouraging women to develop an interest in the digital economy. Authors such as Porfido and Marks (2020) assert that only 9% of tech start-ups in Africa were led by women. The authors went on to say that there is a 37% gap between men’s access to mobile internet compared to women. Porfido and Mark further assert that one of the major causes of the non-participation of women in the digital economy is the lack of digital skills. Non-participation of women in the digital economy robs women of benefits such as increased productivity, reduced costs of production and marketing, extended reach to more customers, and innovation to mention but a few. Women's participation in the digital economy will help the African continent to meet some of the 17 sustainable development goals such as Goal 1- End poverty, Goal 2-Zero hunger, Goal 4-Quality education, and Goal 10 Reduce inequalities. My main approach to achieving this is to train interested University women to document published literature on the digital economy and women on Wikipedia pages. This will serve as a two-pronged approach to the problem. First, the participants will learn the digital skills required to contribute to Wikimedia, and second, the participants will learn more about the digital economy as they read published articles to summarize in Wikipedia pages.

The planned activities for the project are as follows.
- 1. Sell the project idea to other Wikimedians in South East Nigeria and the Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE), University of Nigeria, Nsukka Chapter.
- 2. Agree on the modalities for carrying out the project with FAWE
- 3. Secure a training venue and date
- 4. Generate topics that participants can work on using PETSCAN
- 5. Source out published literature on the topics
- 6. Organize a three-day training for the participants using the Wikimedia training module available at: https://outreachdashboard.wmflabs.org/training .
- 7. Give a space of 28 days for the participants to use the knowledge they gained from the training to edit Wikipedia pages on given topics.

2. Beatrice Ewa (User: Beatrice Ewa). Beatrice Ewa, like User: Ezimoo joined the Wikimedia Movement in 2019 and has remained a volunteer facilitator since then.
- 3. Ngozi Stella Udechukwu (User: Ngozi Stella Udechukwu) joined the Wikimedia movement at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 2022 and has remained a committed editor.
- 4.Onyebuchi Echezonna (User: Onyebuchi Echezona) joined the Wikimedia movement at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 2022 and has remained a committed editor.
- 5. Baruch Omale (User: Baruch Omale) joined the Wikimedia movement in 2022 and has been editing Wikipedia pages since then.

The participants are members of the Forum for African Women Educationalists, University of Nigeria Nsukka who volunteered to participate in the project. Before the project starts, a call will be issued for interested participants to register for the project through the FAWE, UNN WhatsApp platform. A WhatsApp platform will be set up for the people who registered for the project. An online questionnaire will be sent to the participants to find out their expectations for volunteering for the project. the WhatApp platform will also serve as the avenue for passing other information relevant to the project. After, the training, there will be a physical meet-up in which participants will discuss their experiences during the project. The meet-up will feature a focus group interview in which information will be gathered from the partiocipant
