Learning
editProjects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:
- What worked well?
- -->WPWP was a great opportunity to increase more content and improve the RW (Kinyarwanda) Wikipedia pages.
- -->It increased the skills on Wiki commons usage along with Wikipedia.
- -->We had about 10 female or 40% of the total participants which is a great thing that women are get more interested to the digital world in Rwanda.
- What did not work so well?
- --> Rwanda as a newbie country to active contribution, getting images that could match with the existing Kinyarwanda pages was not so easy for many users.
- -->As this was carried out for the first time, there were challenges for users to get familiar with adding photos.
- -->The campaign tracking tool lagged a lot and it would take time for it to get updated with actual contributions.
- What would you do differently next time?
- Next time I would add add up a section for participants to team up and set an award for that section, to increase quality and highly engaged participants.

Anything else
editAnything else you want to share about your project?
The WPWP is certainly a great initiative that I believe will improve the smaller Wikipedia languages like Kinyarwanda and others as it has created more attention than it used to be and thank you the WMF for bringing such initiatives and support.
