Project Goal

  2. Improve the biographies of Ivorian women writers and journalists.
  3. Translate existing Ivorian women's articles into languages other than French.
  4. 20 articles created/improved/translated, 10 of which are of quality
  5. Increase skills for existing editors
  6. Add or improve content

Tell us how you'll carry out your project. Be sure to answer the following questions:

1. Are you doing one editathon or training or a series of editathons or trainings?

We are planning a series of 4 edicatons over three months

2. How will you let your community know about the event? Please paste links below to where relevant communities have been notified of your proposal, and to any other relevant community discussions.

It is an event that is part of the 2021 campaign of Art+Feminism. We then published on the Art+Feminism website, we created a dashboard to register contributors. We will make a visual of the event that we will share on the Social Media platforms of Wikimedia Ivory Coast (Facebook and Twitter). We will also take advantage of the mailing lists of the groups we belong to, to invite people to make the call for registration.

3. Do you have experienced Wikimedia editors to lead the event?

Our work team will be composed mainly of contributors who will help new contributors who will be present. We have all already organized more than one event of the same type

4. Do participants have the equipment or skills needed to participate and contribute high quality content? If not, how will you support them?

The majority of the team of contributors already has a computer. But we will specify in the call for participation that participants will have to have a computer to register. The team will also work upstream to collect articles to be translated and improved before the day of the event.

5. How will you engage participants after the event(s)?

It is a series of several edits at the end of which each group of participants will be taken to follow the evolution and the update of its article. Likewise, all the participants who come to these 4 events will be automatically registered in our database for future events and we will then work on their involvement in our User Group.

6. Are you running any in-person events or activities? If so, you will need to complete the steps outlined on the Risk Assessment protocol related to COVID-19. When you have completed these steps, please provide a link to your completed copy of the risk assessment tool below:
