Goals
editDid you meet your goals? Are you happy with how the project went?
Overall, we were very happy with how the project went. We managed to visit our intended venues before the Corona crisis worsened and movement became restricted. We managed to introduce new people to the Wikimedia Community and gathered beautiful images and videos along the way.
Outcome
editPlease report on your original project targets.
Project metrics
Project metrics | Target outcome | Achieved outcome | Explanation |
20 participants | 19-21 participants per photowalk. | During the first photowalk, a participant could not make it and had to be excused. During the second photowalk, a participant came with a sibling and hence we ended up with 21 participants. | |
300 photos | 800 photos | we were pleased to receive more than double the number of expected photographs. |
Learning
editWhat worked well? What didn't work so well? What would you do differently next time?
- We introduced a lot of new contributors to the community which was really a major milestone for us.
- We also managed to get a lot more media content than we expected which was quite impressive, it being our first time participating. People bonded and shared ideas.
- There were some participants who reserved tickets for the photo-walks but did not communicate afterwards. There was a lot of back and forth with this.
