Project Plan
editActivities
editTell us how you are going to carry out your project. Be sure to answer the following questions:
1. Do you do an editathon or training or a series of editathons or trainings?
We do both training and a series of contributions. Both are therefore necessary.
2. How will you inform your community of the event? Please paste the links below to where affected communities have been informed about your proposal, and to any other relevant community discussions.
we will contact the association of women photographers and women writers of Mali. We will mainly involve students motivated to contribute, who will then become members of our community of contributors. Contact them by phone calls, emails and via social networks, in particular the facebok page of Wikimedia Mali (https://m.facebook.com/wikimedia.mali) We will especially involve the students of the school of journalism of Bamako who will be our assiduous contributors
3. Do you have experienced Wikimedia editors running the event?
In our specific case, our community of contributors at wikimedians of Mali User Group includes professionals who are experienced trainers. Those who lead the activities of our User Groups on a voluntary basis
4. Do participants have the necessary equipment or skills to participate and contribute high-quality content? Otherwise, how will you support them?
Yes the participants will be trained first and will have the skills to better contribute. We will rent rooms connected to the internet to be able to contribute and achieve our objectives
5. How will you engage attendees after the event(s)?
The participants will each have a copy of the photo album book to be edited in a digital version first and then in a paper version. Then we'll invite them to join our user group to become frequent contributors. Also we will donate 60 books from a collection from which journalism students will write articles on women artists (writers, photographers, dancers, etc.) They will portray their women artists of their choice from Tuesday, March 22, 2022 during a literary café meeting and creation of a user account
6. Do you have anything else to tell us about this project?
The edited album book will be uploaded to wikimedia commons so that it is freely available to everyone. Articles will be written on women artists from Mali. In our user group, we are organizing ourselves little by little to grow in strength and become a much more professional user group.
