Learning

edit

Projects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:

  • What worked well?

Everything went well because we have done all the necessary planning ahead of time. We were so happy that the participants cooperated very effectively.Moreso, the training served as an avenue that we discussed about so many Hausa words and their usages. The project has lead to the creating of more than 250 Hausa new words in Hausa wiktionary and were linked with audios and images files.

  • What did not work so well?

At first we had a a few issues of network connectivity problem, and some participants IP address being blocked. But we fixed it as soon as possible. The training was bit confusing the participants because they were being taught two things at the same time which is Linking the audio Files and Linking the images so we spend a lot of time at the event until we made sure that each participant understand the editing processes of creating a word as well as linking it with audio and image files.

  • What would you do differently next time?

We will have better arrangement next time to save time so as not to restrict the participants. Also we would provide more Internet connectivity backups.
